FERRIDAY — Services for Joseph Lee Nations, 57, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in Ferriday, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at Big Creek Cemetery in Pollock, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Nations was born July 8, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Warren Emmett Nations and Iva Lee Nations. He was employed by Siemens as a craft labor supervisor for more than 10 years and was a member of Millwrights Local 1421.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charlie Nations and Clark Nations.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Penny Nations; two sons, Ryan Nations and wife, DeAnna, and Casey Nations, all of Ferriday; one daughter, Dawn Jordan and husband, Eric, of Ferriday; one brother, Sam Nations and wife, Jean, of Texas; one grandson, Bradley Gordon Robinson; one granddaughter, Lydia Jane Nations; soon-to-be grandson, Joseph Lee Nations; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Clay Nations, Cody Nations, Chad Nations, Ronnie Duncan, Gregg Duncan, Roy Temple, Stanley Malcomb and Marty Hammett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Nugent, Jerry Mclain, Clint Malcomb and Timmy McCartney.
