NATCHEZ — Two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old have been arrested in connection with two weekend robberies.
The boys are each being charged as adults with two counts of armed robbery.
NPD detective Jerry Ford said Ladarrius D. Lowe, 15, 147 Mt. Carmel Drive, and Jedarium T. Harris, 15, 12 Government Fleet Road were charged Wednesday. The 14-year-old boy is currently being held at the Adams County Juvenile Center and will be charged as an adult Monday, Ford said.
The boys are believed to be three of the five teenagers that reportedly robbed a man between 9-10 p.m. on North Union Street near Carpenter School Apartments Friday.
The boys also reportedly admitted to robbing the front desk clerk at the Grand Soleil Hotel at gunpoint at approximately 2:20 Saturday morning.
The boys reportedly jumped over the hotel counter, pointed a gun at the clerk and ordered the clerk to open the cash register and took $230 from the register. The boys also reportedly stole the clerk’s wallet containing $360.
Ford said police received a tip from the grandmother of one of the suspects that she had heard her grandson had been part of the robberies.
After investigating the tip, Ford said police were able to apprehend the boys.
No bond has been set for Lowe or Harris.
