NATCHEZ — Services for Rufus E. Dunn, 83, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Dunn was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Meadville, the son of Edgar Dunn and Mamie Jackson Dunn. He was a member of the Pentecostals of the Miss-Lou.

Mr. Dunn proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Japan as an anti-aircraft gunner.

Mr. Dunn was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Curtis Dunn and Howard Dunn.

Survivors include his wife, Frances V. Dunn; one son, Vance B. Dunn of Natchez; one daughter, Dawn D. Booker and husband, Keith, of Atlanta; four grandsons, Adam Dunn of Natchez, Nicholas Dunn of Meadville, Landon Booker of Augusta, Ga., and Ty Booker of Atlanta; and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Karabellin, Don Cupstid, John Maples, Matt Consall, Frank Pennington, Jerald Raley, Adam Dunn and Landon Booker.
