NATCHEZ — Services for Ruth P. Dixon, 69, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Glenburney Nursing Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the church.

Mrs. Dixon was born Jan. 24, 1943, in Adams County, the daughter of Ben Dixon and Mamie Dooley. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church and served on the Mothers Board. She was also an Eastern Star member.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Allen Pernell; and two sisters, Alene Harris and Lenora Marie Dixon.

Survivors include one sister, Beverly Pernell Reed and husband, Wayne; three brothers, William Washington and wife, Nelda Faye, Leon Davis and wife, Alberta, and Antonio Davis Pernell and wife, Ashley; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
