NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Joe Nathan Grinell Jr., 64, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. John Fallon, SSJ, officiating.

Mr. Grinell was born Dec. 31, 1946, in Natchez, the son of Joe Grinell Sr. and Mary Grinell. He was a 1964 graduate of Holy Family High School.

Survivors include one son, Joe Nathan Grinell III and wife, Inga; four grandchildren, Delance Brown, Jordon Grinell, Illyse Grinell and Asia Grinell, all of Rosharon, Texas; one sister, Jimmie Lee Lawrence of Cincinnati, Ohio; his former wife and friend, Dorothy Williams of Texas; two stepdaughters, Kijhana Sessions and Malaika Sessions; six nieces and nephews, Jessica Lawrence, Donald Lawrence, Patrick Lawrence, Evelyn Elaine Whitney, Charles E. Fleming and Thomas D. Hoggatt; and lifetime friends, Percy and Pat Washington and Paul Johnson, all of Natchez.
