Man robbed on porch

NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday morning on Bishop Street.
According to the police report, the robbery victim reported that when he knocked on the door of an acquaintance’s house, he noticed a man on the side of the porch. The victim reported that another man approached him from behind and when the victim turned around, the man pointed a shotgun at his face.
The victim reported the man with the shotgun and the other suspect, who had a handgun, demanded he give them his money, a gold chain and his shoes.
The suspects reportedly took $150 in cash and a $200 gold chain and fled before the victim gave them his shoes.
Natchez Interim Police Chief Danny White said the victim recognized the suspect who had a handgun, but police have not brought any suspects in for questioning at this time.
