NATCHEZ — Services for Ruby Mae King, 48, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Ford Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. King was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Adams County, the daughter of Thomas and Charity Chatman. She was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lee, A.C., and Richard; and a devoted friend, George Reed.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry King; one son, Michael; two daughters, Jerrica and Ruby; three brothers, Oliver, Moses and Tony; six sisters, Louise, Sophie, Selena, Shirley, Debra and Adele; three grandchildren, Lakeriya, Michael and Austin; and a devoted friend, James Taylor.
