NATCHEZ — Services for Annette Delores Smith, 74, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Magnolia, the daughter of Robert Lacey Woods and Opal Lavader Woods. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Cullen and Faye Phelps; two sisters, Betty Joyce Pray and Billie Boyd; three brothers, Everette Woods, Herman Woods and Calvin Hill Woods.

Survivors include a loving and devoted husband of 56 years, David Ronald Smith Sr.; four sons, David Smith and wife, Elena, of Vidalia, Steven “Mitch” Smith of Natchez, Tony Smith and wife, Davette, of Indiana and Ricky Smith and wife, Rhonda, of Bastrop, La.; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Armstrong, Chris Smith, Teagon Smith, Emily Smith, Caleb Smith, Madisyn Smith, Joshua Smith and Jacob Smith; one sister, Ann Clarise Adkins of Baton Rouge; one brother, Douglas Phelps of Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Caleb Smith, Ron Rushing and Travis Snider.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
