JONESVILLE — Services for Riley Williams, 71, of Jonesville, who died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Mack Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams was born Jan. 9, 1941, in Bastrop, La., the son of Cecil Williams and Ettie Williams. He was a lifelong farmer who loved all aspects of the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Willard Jane Williams; his parents; one son, Johnny Lynn Williams; one brother, Wilbert Williams; and three sisters, Lois Monk, Lucille Gatlin and Louise Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellard Williams; one son, Timmy Joe Williams and wife, Mavis, of Jonesville; one brother, Harold Williams of Tullos, La.; and three sisters, Lorraine Cross of Bastrop, Lou Ann Barnett of Omak, Wash., and Leola Davis of Oregon.
Pallbearers will be Roger Keeton, Ben Wiley, Douglas Wiley, Edward Monk, James Monk and Johnny Punchard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Cross, Landon Cross, Maxie Taunton and Ricky Morris.
