NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Hettie Irene Brandon, 85, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

The angels came to Natchez Community Hospital Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, to escort Mrs. Brandon to live with her personal friend and Savior, Jesus Christ. Grant her peace!

Mrs. Brandon was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Egg Shell, Ark., the daughter of Arthur Odell McHughes and Hettie Green McHughes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one sister; one son-in-law; and one step-granddaughter.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Collins Benit and husband, Eddie; one son, Gary Wayne Brandon; two grandsons, Philip Davis Collins and Douglas Brandon; one step-granddaughter, Ashley; and two step-great-grandchildren, Ali and Chad.
