BROOKHAVEN — Services for Kirby Halford, 74, of Meadville, who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Meadville Convalescent, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven.

Mr. Halford was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Mississippi, the son of William Halford and Beulah Whittington Halford. He was employed by Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company and was retired. Mr. Halford attended Oak Grove Methodist Church in Meadville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, William Halford Jr., Billy Ray Halford, Wesley Halford, Riley Halford and Rayford Halford; and three sisters, Alice Blackwell, Leona Halford and Rhoda Halford.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Smith Halford; one sister, Elouise Dewees of Beaumont, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
