McCALL CREEK — Services for Louis “Bill” Cameron, 84, of McCall Creek, who died Wednesday, Jan 25, 2012. at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at noon Friday at Christian Springs Missionary Baptist Church in McCall Creek with the Rev. Ricky O’Quinn officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery in McCall Creek under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Cameron was born Jan. 5, 1928, in McCall Creek, the son of O.C. Cameron and Clara Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara Cameron; one son, Louis Cameron Jr.; one brother, Joe C. Byrd; and one brother-in-law, Cole Jones.

Survivors include one son, Mark Cameron of Georgia; three daughters, Sherry and Terry Cameron, both of Denver, and Lisa Cameron of Bude; six brothers, David Cameron and wife, Dana, John Cameron and wife, Mary, James Earl Cameron and wife, Anna, all of Detroit, Joe Cameron and wife, Gloria, and George “G.C.” Cameron, all of McCall Creek, and Jack Cameron and wife, Martha, of Ridgeland; three sisters, Minnie Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Gladys Knight-Williams and husband, Charlie, of Detroit and Pearl Cameron of McCall Creek; three uncles, Andrew Nelson of McCall Creek, W.C. Nelson of Mobile, Ala., and Richard Nelson of Utah; a special cousin, Chris Cameron; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
