JONESVILLE — Services for David Monroe Coleman, 76, of Jonesville, who died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Coleman was born March 10, 1935, in Sicily Island, the son of John Hiram Coleman and Ada Adell Coleman. He was a farmer and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Monroe Coleman Jr.; five brothers, John Coleman, James Coleman, Brady Coleman, Otis Coleman and Curtis Coleman; and two sisters, Zelda Wallace and Mickey Coleman.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Coleman; one daughter, Brenda Perilloux and husband, Glen, of Vidalia; one son, Albert “Buddy” Coleman and wife, Karen, of Jonesville; three brothers, William Coleman and wife, Jewel, and Roy Coleman and wife, Beth, all of Summerville, La., and Gilbert Coleman and wife, Mae, of Jonesville; two sisters, Eva Emerick and husband, Fred, of Jonesville and Irene Cotten and husband, Bob, of Harrisonburg, La.; one sister-in-law, Carol Landry and husband, Larry, of Florida; a very special granddaughter, Laura Perilloux; granddaughter, Misty Cater; one grandson, Coley Cater; and two great-granddaughters, Crystina Herron and Tiffany Cater.

Pallbearers will be Glen Perilloux, Jackie Coleman, Clarence Duncan, Larry Landry, Coley Cater, Philip Spinks, G.L. Coleman and Jim Crocker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wince Morris and George “Buster” Womack.
