JONESVILLE — Services for Scott Jackson McNeely III, 44, of Jonesville, who died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Mayna Church of God with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler and the Rev. Mack Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at Pala Alto Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.
McNeely was born Feb. 27, 1967, in Natchez, the son of Jackie McNeely and Dottie Martin.
McNeely was a resident of Jonesville, a farmer and a member of Mayna Church of God. He enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting and just being in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, especially hunting with his uncle Glenn and his nephew Cole.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mitchell Trisler; his paternal grandparents, Scott and Annie Mae McNeely Sr.; and two uncles, Donald McNeely and J.M. “Booger” Trisler.
Survivors include his father, Jackie McNeely and wife his Lois of Jonesville; his mother, Dottie Martin and her husband Gary of Gardner, La.; his sister, Lori Jackson and husband Tim of Jonesville; his maternal grandmother, Eunice Trisler of Mayna, La.; his niece, Maura Cooper of Jonesville; his nephew, Cole Cooper of Jonesville; and his special uncle, Glenn McNeely and his wife Brenda of Jonesville.
Pallbearers will be his cousins, Ricky Reynolds, Tony McNeely, Steve McNeely, Lee Trisler, Kevin Trisler, Lloyd E. Trisler and nephew Cole Cooper.
