NATCHEZ — Area florists worked late into the night Monday to prepare bouquets and gifts for today’s holiday of love. Ja’Nel’s Flower’s owner Brenda Williams said she has an extra 15 people helping with the Valentine’s Day rush.

Balloon hearts — including a few covered in sequins — sit waiting to be put into flower arrangements at Ja’Nel’s.

Charm Powell checks the location of where a bouquet of roses will be sent on Valentine’s Day in the distribution center of Ja’Nel’s. Powell will help deliver the flowers, which are organized geographically the night before the holiday.
