FAYETTE — Services for Rosa “Rosie” Lee Ballard Dixon, 98, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Claiborne County Senior Care Facility in Port Gibson, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, at Richland Baptist Church in Jefferson County with the Rev. Barry Thompson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Dixon was born March 17, 1913, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William Ballard Sr. and Lizzie Williams Ballard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Dixon; three children, Howard Dixon, Josie Dixon Whitelow and Rosemary Dixon McCollough; 12 siblings and three grandchildren.

Survivors include six children, Flora D. Allen, Ben Dixon and wife, Flora, all of Fayette, Ruth D. Smith of Natchez, George Dixon III of Fresno, Calif., Lee Dixon of Los Angeles and James Dixon and wife, Pam, of Ventura, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
