ROXIE — Services for Mary Ellen Foley, 89, of Roxie, who died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Matthew Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery on Liberty Road in Natchez under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Foley was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Franklin County, the daughter of Emanuel Sr. and Eva Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Purvis Foley Sr.; one daughter, Mary Watkins; four sisters; three brothers; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Pearl Dennis, Maxine Briggs and Elenda Foley; five sons, Robert Foley, Purvis Foley Jr., Lawrence Foley, Lee Foley and Eddie Foley; four sisters, Laura Jenkins, Ella Thomas, Eva Chinnery and Mildred Nelson; two brothers, Jack Nelson and Curtis Nelson; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
