Sheriff’s office busts high grade marijuana

NATCHEZ — An Adams County woman was arrested earlier this week on charges she possessed high-grade marijuana with the intent to distribute it.
Bianca Sharnese Chatman, 21, 416-A Watts Ave., Natchez, was arrested on charges on possession of an enhanced controlled substance and the sale and transfer of a controlled substance after Metro Narcotics served a search warrant against her Feb. 21.
According to a news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the narcotics agents seized a quarter-pound of hydroponically grown marijuana and more than $600 in small bills during the search.
The marijuana was valued at approximately $3,400, according to the release.
