Bank account set up to benefit victim

NATCHEZ — A bank account to benefit Shirley Marchand, the victim of a brutal home invasion in Gonzales, La., last week, has been set up at area Regions’ banks.
Donations can be made at any Regions bank branch in Natchez in Marchand’s name.
Marchand’s daughter, Teresa Godbold, is a Natchez resident.
Godbold’s step-father Robert Irwin Marchand, 74, and brother, Douglas Dooley, 50, were killed by home invaders during an apparent robbery Feb. 18.
Shirley Marchand, 72, was left critically injured. She is still hospitalized and in critical condition.
