NATCHEZ — Services for Elaine Edwards, 56, of Natchez, who died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at MD Anderson Center in Houston, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Edwards was the daughter of Willie and Carrie Edwards. She was employed by AJFC Thompson Headstart as a parent involvement specialist, having a bachelor of science degree in child development.

She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church and served on the Pastor’s Aid Ministry and the hospitality group.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Edwards of Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter, Casey Edwards of Natchez; one granddaughter, Chloe Rawlings of Natchez; one aunt, Jessie Daniels of Chicago; three special cousins, Kenneth Watkins and Jimmy Watkins, both of Natchez, and Carrie Cummings of Dayton, Ohio; and a number of family and friends.
