NATCHEZ — Services for Lillie Beatrice Knight-Irving, 105, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 12, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Bethel Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.

Burial will follow at Selstown Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Irving was born Sept. 11, 1906, in Adams County, the daughter of Elijah and Queen Ella Sanders Knight. She was a member of Greater Mount Bethel Deaconess Board, Missionary Society, Will Foster Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Lillie K. Amaranth Court and Ada Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Monroe Irving; three children, Mitchell McCallister, Albert D. Irving and Johnnie Irving; one sister, Evelyn Estelle Jackson; one brother, Elijah Knight Jr.; one granddaughter, Hattie Frisby; and two grandsons, the Rev. Harry Grover and Michael Irving.

Survivors include seven loving and devoted children, the Rev. Alonzo Irving and wife, Mildred, Ruth Irving Ward and husband, Riley, Willie J. Irving and wife, Carrie, Rosa Irving Demby and husband, Melvin, Audrey Irving-Dean, Bertha Irving-Gilmore and Queen Irving Thompson and husband, Al; two grandchildren she reared, the Rev. Maurice Irving and wife, Deloris, and Katie Irving Brown and husband, Mose; one adopted son, General Jenkins and wife, Bessie; 34 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
