FERRIDAY — Services for James “Ronnie” Freeman, 68, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Ochsners Hospital in New Orleans, will be at 1 p.m. today at Pentecostal of Miss-Lou with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.

Burial will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Wisner, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Freeman was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Monroe, La., the son of Reef Freeman and Odie Belle Freeman. He was an electrician and was employed by Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company for more than 20 years. He was retired from Woodgroup Offshore. He was the owner of Freeman’s Bail Bonds in Ferriday.

Mr. Freeman was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Freeman.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Freeman; two daughters, Wendy Freeman of Ferriday and Tammy Freeman Plumlee and husband, Rick, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; three grandsons, Brad Gardner, Tyler Gardner and Devin Gardner; one niece, Sunni Freeman Branstetter; and two nephews, Rob Nolan and Todd Freeman.

Pallbearers will be Billy Freeman, Charles Tarver Jr., Glen McGlothin, Jim Boren, Kenneth Hedrick and Lynn Patt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Bailey, Don Manchester, Jessie Davis, Brad Gardner, Tyler Gardner, Devin Gardner, Jay Calhoun and Casey Calhoun.
