ROXIE — Services for Emma Gene Mitchell, 56, of McCall Creek, who died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Brookhaven, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Roxie, Kirby community.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Mitchell was born July 15, 1955, in Monroe, the daughter of Robert Earl Denham and Emma Lee Bee.

She was preceded in death by her father; her loving husband, William Mitchell Sr.; one son, William Mitchell Jr.; and two brothers, James E. Denham and Melvin Bailey.

Survivors include her mother of McCall Creek; one daughter, Sharon Edney and husband, David, of Houma, La.; one son, Charles Mitchell and wife, Shelia, of McComb; two granddaughters, Charbrielle Mitchell of McComb and Kya Denise Mitchell of Clarksville, Ark.; devoted companion, Carl Ray Reed; two stepsons, Billy Ray Nelson and Vincent Harris; and other relatives and friends.
