NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Evelyn Jacqueline Bass Davis, 60, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, were Sunday at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial followed at Sunset View Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davis was born Nov. 16, 1951, in Natchez, the daughter of Sidney and Leanna Bass. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Phipps, and one brother, Sidney Bass Jr.

Survivors include two sons, John Hunt and Willie Hunt and wife, Crystal, all of Natchez; one daughter, Daquina Hunt of Natchez; one sister, Willie B. Alexander and husband, Richard, of Natchez; two brothers, Robert James and wife, Gloria, and Charles Bass and wife Addie, all of Natchez; two granddaughters, Ayanna Hunt of Natchez; one great-grandson, Guy Anthony Allen Jr.; two godchildren, Raysund and Kendrell Davis of Irving, Texas; one special niece, Vicky S. Phipps Neal and husband, Wayne, of Natchez; a special neighbor, Julia Harrison of Natchez; a special friend, Emelda “Rochelle” Gibson and husband, Ray, of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
