Natchez man heats up to arrest, charges

NATCHEZ — A Natchez man is in prison after his enflamed passions flared up and he allegedly made some incendiary threats with gasoline.
Chase Devin Johnson, 27, 21 Center St., was arrested Tuesday on charges of attempted arson and disturbing the peace.
According to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, deputies arrested Johnson at 8:22 a.m.
Johnson had allegedly been in an argument with the residents of a Center Street house, and when deputies arrived on the scene, they reportedly found him there in a verbal altercation.
The suspect had reportedly taken a 5-gallon can of gasoline and poured it on the grass around the residence, yelling that he would burn the house down.
Johnson’s bond was set at $5,500.
