NATCHEZ — The Wharlest Jackson Elks Lodge No. 1675 and Lizzie Shumaker Temple No. 1052 will host the 88th annual Mississippi Association of Elks Convention starting today through Wednesday at the Grand Soleil Hotel.

Walter Williams is exalted ruler and Josephine Cottingham is daughter ruler.

The conference will include a fashion show at 8 p.m. today.

Saturday’s events include a youth department meeting and oratorical competition before the 10 p.m. president’s ball.

Sessions and special events will continue until noon Wednesday.
