GLOSTER — Services for Mamie Aldean Wilkinson Longmire, 84, of Gloster, who died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Zachary and the Rev. Danny Cook officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Longmire was born March 26, 1928, in Amite County, the daughter of Ebbie and Betty Wilkinson. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Mrs. Longmire was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph D. Longmire; and one granddaughter, Tina Michelle Marler of Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include six children, Mary Temple and husband, Charles, Diane Manuel, Thomas Myron Longmire and wife, Zeke, and Galen D. Longmire, all of Gloster, Gladys Marler of Springfield and Laverne Jackson and husband, Thomas, of Liberty; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; one brother, Thomas Arter Wilkinson and wife, Pauline; and four sisters, Marlene Harrell and husband, Clyde, Fannie Hazlip, Lennie Westbrook and Myra Luane Honea and husband, Johnny, all of Gloster.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Glen Temple, Virgil Temple, Darryl Temple, Terry Temple, Tyler Jackson, Wesley Sterling, Larry Sterling and Dustin Temple.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Wayne Westbrook, Johnny Westbrook, Mac McCullough, Wayne Temple, Danny Marler Jr., William James Marler and Daniel Myers.
