FERRIDAY — Services for Amy Ann Smith, 80, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Barker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the directions of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Smith was born May 17, 1932, in Holly Grove, Ark.
She was a member of the Ferriday Church of Christ.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James Billy Smith; her father, Mallie Thompson; and her mother, Mayola Mae Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, James “Rusty” Smith and wife, Kendall, of Midland, Texas and Mike D. Smith of Ferriday; one daughter, Billie Ann Smith of Vidalia; two sisters, Mary Schmid of San Diego, Calif., and Bettie Thompson of Ferriday; four grandsons, Lance Smith, Chase Smith, Conner Smith and Collins Smith; three granddaughters, Leia Freeman and husband, Clay, Emily Nicotre and husband, Troy, and Elizabeth Smith; one great-grandson, Landry Freeman; one great-granddaughter, Mindy Nicotre; special daughter-in-law, Lisa Lancaster Smith.
Pallbearers will be Lance Smith, Chase Smith, Conner Smith, Clay Freeman, Troy Nicotre, Mac Fuqua, Chris Ensminger and Trey Ensminger.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Sims, Chuck Davis, Dylan Sontoyo, Tim Fuqua and Matt Colvin.
