BROOKHAVEN — Services for Jean S. Smith, 85, of Wesson, who died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at New Salem Church of Christ.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 8, 1927, the daughter of Robert Fulton Smith and Dell Storm Smith.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Salem Church of Christ in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson P. Smith; one grandson, Collin Nelson Smith; four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include one son, Rickey Nelson Smith and wife, Vanessa, of Wesson; two daughters, Brenda Burgess and husband, Brian, of Natchez and Nelda Westbrook of Wesson; two sisters-in-law, Wessie Smith of Brookhaven and Wisie Smith of Wesson; five grandchildren, Michelle and Hayden Kaiser and Blaine Burgess, all of Natchez, Jacob and Wanda Westbrook, Millicent and Blake Porter and Alex Smith, all of Wesson; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
