SPECIAL TO THE DEMOCRAT
NATCHEZ — A summer family event called “Babylon” will be hosted at Parkway Baptist Church through Thursday this week.
Families will step back in time at Babylon, exploring Daniel’s adventures as a captive in a foreign land. Children and adults will participate in a memorable Bible-times Marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into Bible-times snacks, visit Daniel and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s Word. Plus, everyone learns to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God sightings. Each day concludes at celebration — a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.
Jason Cole, associate pastor of administration and education at Parkway said he believes this year’s VBS will very special.
“Most VBS’ are geared simply toward children. Babylon is different because it encourages parents and grandparents to join in with their children.”
Babylon is for those completing kindergarten through sixth grade and will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day. For more information, call 601-442-7434 or to register online visit www.parkwaybaptistchurch.com. There is no cost to attend.
