NATCHEZ — Services for Cora Mae Johnson, 72, of Woodville, who died Monday, June 25, 2012, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Embrew Baptist Church in Woodville with the Rev. Frank Sullivan officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Embrew Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Push Johnson Sr.; her parents Walter and Lillia Turner; two sisters, Lucille Oubre and Irene Turner; and two brothers, Walter Turner Jr., and Walter “Sonny Man” Turner.
Survivors include seven children, Laverne Myles, Walter “Lil Push” “Push Rod” Johnson Jr., Rashell Tolliver and husband, Roy, all of Woodville, Ethel Mae Hunter and husband, Donald, of Natchez, Abigail Johnson and Hester Michelle Pineza and husband, David, all of Chicago, and Lawrence Unious Johnson of Atlanta; six sisters, Lillia Johnson, Addie Turner, Frances Dennis, all of Woodville, Mary Prater and husband, Johnnie, of Natchez, Savannah Trask and husband, John, of Chicago and Bessie Stuart of Baton Rouge; and five brothers, Leonard Dallas Turner and wife, Florastein and Ivory Joe Turner and wife, Michelle, all of Woodville, Eugene Turner and wife, Nancy, of Baton Rouge, Paul Turner and wife, Queen, and Manuel Turner, all of Florida.
