NATCHEZ — Services for Edgar Ray Hinson, 83, of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his residence, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at McNeely Road Church of God with the Rev. Julius Roberts, the Rev. Thomas Tapley and the Rev. Cody Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Hinson was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Arcola, La., the son of Leslie M. and Eva Louretta Wallace Hinson. He was a retired firefighter from the Natchez Fire Department.
Mr. Hinson was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Allen Hinson; one sister, Shirley Mae Kammerdeiner; and one brother, Wendell Hinson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Billie Fae Hinson; four sons, Billy R. Hinson, Don E. Hinson, Bobby C. Hinson and Leslie W. Hinson; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronny Kammerdeiner, Ted Hinson, Roy Hinson, Elridge Hinson, Taylor Hinson, Connor Hinson and Greg Gregory.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doy Hinson, James Allen, Earl McElroy, Billy Adams, Ricky Kammerdeiner, Brian Hinson, John Kammerdeiner and Carl Hinson.
Singers will be Becky, Garrett, Charles and Marie.
