FERRIDAY — Services for Willie Mae Bonnette, 93, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Wayne Gray officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 8 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Bonnette was a homemaker and was loved by her family and a number of friends. She was a cub scout den mother and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mrs. Bonnette was a mother to all of the neighborhood kids and her world revolved around her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Travis Bonnette Sr.; her parents; one sister, Mildred Osborn; and one brother, Joe Griffin.

Survivors include four sons, Raymond Bonnette and wife, Susan, of Natchez, Bill Bonnette and wife, Sue, of Quitman, Texas, Leslie W. Bonnette of Lake Bruin and J. Mark Bonnette of Ferriday; nine grandchildren, Travis Bonnette and wife, Sandra, of Boston, Thomas R. Bonnette of Ferriday, Aaron R. Bonnette of Garland, Texas, Kristen Hoover and husband, Brad, of Pearland, Texas, John Bonnette and wife, Tabitha of Ruston, La., Jacob Bonnette and wife, Donna, of Vidalia, Jessica Bonnette of Ferriday, Joseph Bonnette of Vidalia and Sarah and Rob Cowart of Cooter Point; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lilly Muriel Lanier of Jonesville and Sue Denton of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Travis, Thomas, Aaron, Jacob, John Mark and Joseph.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Beasley and Roy Halcomb.

The family thanks Lynette Gullage and Yvonne Gibson for the special care they gave to our mother and grandmother. We will be forever grateful.
