NATCHEZ — Services for Betty Jean Longhofer Wilson, 82, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at her residence, will be at 5 p.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Wilson was born June 29, 1930, in Shattuck, Okla., the daughter of Aaron Longhofer and Esther Schick Longhofer. She had been a member of Parkway Baptist Church for 30 years.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Master Sgt. Richard R. Wilson Jr.; one sister, Doris Griffin; and two granddaughters, Jessica Wilson and Racheal Smith.

Survivors include four sons, Gary Wilson and wife, Judy, of Brandon, Tim Wilson and wife, Mary, of Woodville, Kevin Wilson and wife, Becky, of Natchez and David Wilson and wife, Edith, of Camden, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar Longhofer of Shattuck; and two sisters, Darlene Mitchell of Dodge City, Kan., and JoAnn Malmgren of Rockwall, Texas.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Devin Wilson, Tim Wilson Jr., Ed Walker, Chris Wilson and Zack Wilson.

Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund or to a charity of choice.
