NATCHEZ — Services for Ethel Lee Ward Washington, 95, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 13, 2012, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. James Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Washington was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Levi and Pauline Myles. She attended Adams County public schools and was a retired custodian.
Mrs. Washington was a member served as a mother of the church and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Myles; and five sisters, Anna Laura Myles, Rosetta Dottery, Martha Blanton, Mary Ross and Margarett Speaks.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Smith and husband, Robert; one sons, Bartholomew Ward and wife, Yolanda; three grandchildren, Terra Ward, Latosha Ward and Cedric Ward; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Elijah Johnson and wife, Ida B.; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
