Jackson — A slow-moving, severe thunderstorm dropped up to 6 inches of rain over parts of the Natchez-Adams County Saturday morning.
The storm prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning for the area. The warning expired at 11:30 a.m.
Weather watchers suggest as much as 6 inches of rain was dumped on the area as the storm passed over head, potentially higher in some areas.
National Weather Service forecasters predict only isolated showers and thunderstorms are likely for the remainder of the day. Temperatures will warm up to just below 90 degrees. The forecast for Sunday is for sunny skies and hot temperatures.
