VIDALIA — Services for infant Tucker Cross Hinson, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Vidalia with the Rev. Bill McCullin officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Tucker was born July 1, 2012, in Jackson, the son of Brett and Kayce Hinson.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfathers, George Cupit and Larry Hinson; paternal great-grandmother, Carolyn Hinson; maternal great-grandfather, Billy Jackson; and maternal great-grandmother, Bonnell Whittington.

Survivors include his parents; paternal grandparents, Denny and Susan Hinson of Vidalia; maternal grandparents, Milton and Penny Whittington of Natchez; paternal great-grandmother, Gloria Jean Cupit of Vidalia; paternal great-grandmother, Sharon Hinson of Waterproof; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Sue Jackson of Ridgecrest; maternal great-grandfather, Harold Whittington of Natchez; and two uncles, Matt Hinson and wife, Alysha, of Minden and Adam Whittington and wife, Jessica, and their children, Justin and Jordan, of Richland.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hinson and Adam Whittington.

A special thanks to everyone who came to support the family, whether it was giving blood — the turnout was overwhelming — or any other gestures of love. The nurses and doctors at the Blair E. Baston PICU, the UMC Fetal Center and the Ronald McDonald House.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Blair E. Baston Hospital for Children, Division of Public Affairs 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216-4505 in Tucker’s name.
