VIDALIA — Services for Wilford Deon Matchett, 41, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Union Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Leon Dixon officiating.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Matchett was born Dec. 20, 1970, in Houston, Texas, the son of Don Matchett and Rosie Smith Matchett.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Smith.

Survivors include his mother of Vidalia; his father of Bryan, Texas; two daughters, Dontelle White of Dallas and Madison Matchett of Vidalia; one uncle, Eric Smith and wife, Tracy, of Natchez; six aunts, Ollie Washington and husband, Huey, of Missouri City, Texas, Pearl Long and husband, George, Leatrice Dickens and husband, Reginald, Mary Smith, all of Vidalia, Jacqueline Smith of Fresno, Texas and Brenda Smith of Natchez; maternal grandfather, David Smith of Vidalia; and two grandchildren.
