FAYETTE — Services for Marie Tyler Bryant, 78, of McNair, who departed her earthly home Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Wicker officiating.

Burial will follow at McNair Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bryant was born Sept. 18, 1933, in Taylor, Ark., the daughter of Eli Tyler and Letha Fish Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Addison and Floyd; three sisters, Vergie, Myrtle and Vickie; two sons, Ricky Lynn Bryant and Bill Henry Bryant; and one granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Ross.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Henry Bryant; one daughter, Gayle Phillips and husband, Ron; one grandson, Mike Ross and wife, Barbara; two great-grandsons, Jacob Ross and Hunter Ross and wife, Megan, all of McNair; a number of great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Derrick and husband, Gardner, of Texarkana, Ark.; and a number of other family members.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Ross, Hunter Ross, Johnny Bryant, Kyle Sandifer, Bobby Ross and Wayne Wiley.

Mrs. Ross was a special friend and caregiver to all. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family extends a special thanks to the ICU unit at Promise Hospital in Vidalia for their devoted care and support.
