NATCHEZ — Services for Allena Green Johnson, 62, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Johnson was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of the Rev. Willie Green and Allena York Green.

She was educated in the Adams County school district and was a 1968 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Willie Green. She remained at Pilgrim until her death under the leadership of the Rev. Melvin White.

She was once united in holy matrimony to Willie Johnson. She was known for her beautiful smile and calm spirit. She worked as an office manager for Williams & Williams Funeral Home and later worked at the Natchez Senior Citizen Center, a job that she loved wholeheartedly.

Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Willie Albert Green and Eddie Lee Green; and one sister, Carolyn Green Lambert.

Survivors include two sons, Reginald Green and wife, Sherron, of Mount Dora, Fla., and Paul M. Green of Natchez; four sisters, Flora Terrell and husband, William, Ruby Lucas, Juanita Jones and husband, Albert, all of Natchez, and Alma Stokes and husband, Clifton, of Jackson; two brothers, Raymond Green and wife, Peggie, of Natchez and Richard Green and wife, Lynn, of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Sherbria, Regan and Kaitlin Green, all of Mount Dora and Chelsea Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; one uncle, the Rev. Bennie York and wife, Velma, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and a number of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
