MONTEREY — Services for Alma Jean Halford, 76, who died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eva Church of God in Monterey with Bro. Delbert Cates and Bro. Leon Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home in Alexandria, La.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday, both at the church.
Mrs. Halford was preceded in death by her husband, Julius “Yank” Halford and one son, Julius Robert “Cooter” Halford Jr.
Survivors include five children, Bernice Poole and husband, Ronald, of Monterey, Darrell Halford and Debbie of Eastland, Texas, Bruce Halford and Trish of Vidalia, Ouida Cupstid and husband, Shane, of Ferriday; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn McVay of Bentley, La.; and one brother, James Clary of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Poole Jr., Robert Poole, Andrew Poole, Irving Crouch, Adam McKenzie, Brandon Cupstid, Dylan Palmer and Roger Mount.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie McVay, Ricky McVay, Cecil Watts, Ricky Glenn and Richard Halford.
