Early voting starts today for La. residents

VIDALIA — Early voting for the Nov. 6 election in Concordia Parish starts today.
Those who wish to vote early may do so at the registrar of voters’ office in the Concordia Parish courthouse.
Early voting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Oct. 30, excluding Sunday.
Unlike absentee voting, one does not need a reason to early vote.
On the ballot are the U.S. Presidential race, the race for the Fifth Congressional district seat and nine constitutional amendments.
In local elections, residents of school board district 4B will choose between three candidates, while electors in Ridgecrest will fill an alderman’s seat, choosing between three candidates.
All of the Ferriday aldermen seats except District E are challenged in this election.
