VIDALIA — Today is the last day for early voting for Louisiana residents.
Unlike absentee voting, early voting does not need an excuse.
Early voting is being conducted at the registrar of voters’ office in the Concordia Parish courthouse.
The registrar’s office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Voters will have to identify themselves with either a photo ID — such as a driver’s license — or a signature on a voter affidavit.
Louisiana’s mail-in absentee ballots must be received by 4:30 p.m. the day before Election Day.
In Adams County, absentee voting is ongoing at the Adams County circuit clerk’s office.
The clerk’s office will also be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday for absentee voting, which will be the last opportunity to cast an absentee ballot in person.
All mailed absentee ballots for Mississippi elections must be received by the clerks’ office by 5 p.m. Monday.
