Jefferson Co. ends season with 5-7 record

FOREST — The Forest Bearcats scored two touchdowns late in the first quarter to go up 21-7 and never looked back as they rolled past the Jefferson County Tigers 42-13 Friday night in the first round of the MHSAA Class 3A South State playoffs.
Forest took a 28-7 lead into halftime and continued to add to its already commanding advantage. The Tigers finally scored their second touchdown late in the ball game.
With the loss, Jefferson County, the No. 4 seed from Region 7-3A, ended the season with a 5-7 overall record.
