NATCHEZ — Services for Lehman Butler, 96, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixson officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Butler was born Oct. 18, 1916, in Jones County, the son of Amos D. Butler and Millie Pitts Butler. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1955 and was a member of the Men’s Club at the church.

Mr. Butler was a highly decorated Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Kathleen W. Butler; three sons, Ronnie Butler and wife, Rita, and Kenneth Butler, all of Ridgeland, and Wayne Butler and wife, Diane, of Natchez; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Fred Parker, Tim Gay, Paul Manning, Brandon Smith, Lance Butler and Ricky Warren.
