NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department is investigating a Sunday night armed robbery on North Union Street in which a woman’s prescription medication was stolen.
Natchez Police Chief Danny White said police received a complaint that at 9:21 p.m. the victim, who said he had been drinking outside his residence with a friend, had gone inside with the friend only to have a man wearing a white hoodie and black pants follow them in and put a gun in his face.
The attacker demanded that the victim give him what he had, White said.
The victim had to ask what the suspect wanted, and the suspect said he wanted the prescription drugs in the house, which included Xanax and Hydrocortisone, White said.
The prescription reportedly belonged to the victim’s girlfriend, White said.
The matter is under investigation.
