Mable “Jo” Burnette

NATCHEZ — Services for Mable “Jo” Burnette, 74, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home with Chris Hanley officiating.

Mrs. Burnette was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Herbert Brady and Una Scott Brady.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Mrs. Burnette retired from the Holsum Bread Company after 10 years of service and then drove of school bus for the Natchez-Adams County School District

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Carolyn Roth; brothers Herbert Brady, Albert Brady and Bill Bill Brady and sister Dorothy Sessums.

Survivors include her husband, Toxie Burnette; son Vernon Burnette and wife, Stephanie, of St. Francisville; daughter Lynn Leach and husband, Darrel, of Vidalia; 13 grandchildren, Crystal Hanley and husband, Chris, Justin Burnette and wife, Annie, Bethany Stricklin and husband, Michael, Kyla Smith and husband, Trent, Ashley Holmes and husband, Michael, Ricci Roth, Brandon Burnette and wife, Nikki, Jacob Brown, Zach Brown, Dakota Mooney, D.J. Leach, Sandy Williams and husband, Terrie, and Amanda Leach, and 14 great-grandchildren.
