FERRIDAY — Services for Fred Winniford McClung Jr., 61, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Cecil Harrington officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. McClung was born March 30, 1951, the son of Fred Winniford McClung Sr. and Barbara Elaine Moree. He was owner and operator of Bo’s Shop where he was a diesel mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother of Ferriday; two sons, Bo McClung and wife, Angie, of Houston, Texas and Ryan McClung of Monterey; two daughters, Dawn Curry of Columbia and Jennifer Wilson and husband, Cookie, of Natchez; three brothers, Donald Moree of Columbia, Wayne McClung of Vidalia and Dennis McClung and wife, Evelyn, of Ferriday; four sisters, Dianne King and husband, Walter, of Monterey, Jean Smith and husband, Jerrell, of West Monroe, La., Janice Rogers and husband, Sammy, of Ferriday, and Tamara Hamilton and husband, Jay, of Vidalia; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and special friend, Patty LaCour of Alexandria, La.

Pallbearers will be David Byrd, Colby Byrd, Wayne McClung Jr., James “Boogie Man” Peoples Sr., Doyle Watson, Ian Smith, Blaine Fletcher, Bryar Hamilton and Dan Byrd.
