NATCHEZ — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the Miss-Lou area until 1 a.m. Thursday.

NWS forecasts project for a line of slow-moving storms to approach the area from the west Wednesday evening, and additional storms may develop ahead of the squall line.

Primary hazards associated with the storms expected to move through the area include damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour, tornadoes, heavy rainfall and large hail.
