NATCHEZ — Services for Lillie Mae Robinson Hoskin, 71, of Natchez, who died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Kindred Northwest Hospital in Houston, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Allen Dave Funeral Home in Houston, assisted by Curtis Funeral System in Natchez.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, with a special ceremony at 5 p.m. by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Mrs. Hoskin was born Nov. 8, 1941, in Liberty, the daughter of Edith Mae Wilson and Curtis Robinson.
Mrs. Hoskin was a long-time educator with the Natchez-Adams public schools. She was a member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church and under watch with The Word of God Christian Fellowship in Cypress, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Willie J. Hoskin; two daughters, Jolanda Thomas and husband, Phil, and Myra Hoskin; one son, Erick and wife, Stacia, all of Cypress; eight grandchildren, Victoria, Kayla, Erienne, Erick Jr., Sydni, Kelvin Jr., Keyan and Sasha; two godchildren, Estella “Toni” Williams and Kevin Sewell; one uncle, Ernest Wilson of New Orleans; two cousins, raised with Lillie as sisters, Pat Singletary of McComb and Martha Thompson of New Orleans; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Phillips and husband, Eddie, of Chicago and Dorothy Hubbard of Greenville; three brothers-in-law, Henry “Sonny” Hoskin, Leslie Young, both of Chicago, and Napoleon Young of Tchula; a dear friend affectionately known as “Buddy,” Evelyn Smith; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
